URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED DUE TO FINN STRUGGLING IN THE KENNEL ENVIRONMENT

Meet our very sweet boy Finn.  He came to us from a dog pound at just 4 months old.

Finn is a sensitive boy with the softest heart.  He’s an anxious young lad who lacks in confidence, and we see this when he faces a new situation.  We have been working with him on this, and giving him reassurance and patience is helping him and he’s making great progress.  Finn is a very sweet, affectionate boy once he knows you and then he will be your best friend for life!  He would love nothing more than to have someone to cuddle and spend his time with.

Finn is a super smart boy who loves to have something to do, in between his naps.  He loves puzzle feeders and kongs.  In fact we haven’t found anything he can’t work out!  He has great fun doing zoomies around our secure field and he likes to walk around our woods with his doggy friend.  Like a typical lurcher his  favourite part is having a nap after!

Finn has found socialising with other dogs difficult at times, but with careful and slow introductions he has been able to socialise with a few dogs here at the sanctuary.  This is something we are always working on with him to help him gain confidence.  He can get very frustrated at times if he doesn’t know what to do, which mainly happens if a dog is reacting to him.  His frustration and anxiety has resulted in him re-directing and biting in the past. To manage this, Finn is muzzle trained and happily wears his muzzle out on walks and to socialise with other dogs.  This enables Finn to socialise more, which is great for him.

Finn would thrive in a patient and calm home and he has a great foundation to be a well rounded boy.  He will need someone who can continue with his training and his socialising.

If you think you might be able to help our precious Finn, we’d love to hear from you.  Please do get in touch with our team on: [email protected] . Or give them a call on: 01275 474719  Thank you so much.
