Please adopt Ellie (Bulldog)

Meet our very gorgeous Ellie.  This precious girl sadly came into us as a stray, so we don’t have any history on her.  We have found Ellie to be friendly with everyone she has met here at the sanctuary.  When Ellie came into us, it was very obvious that she’d been bred from and her skin was sore and ears were very dirty.  After a couple of months with plenty of TLC from us, Ellie now looks great and is feeling much better.   Our vet has checked Ellie and she is healthy, though she does have hip dysplasia in her left hip.  We are currently managing this with pain relief as and when needed, daily joint supplements and weight management. This doesn’t affect Ellie in any way at the moment.  Holly Hedge will cover any vet bills relating to Ellie’s hip dysplasia when she’s in her new home.

Ellie is super smart and loves Kongs, puzzles and toys. She is an affectionate girl with people and would love to have a sofa to call her own.  Ellie can feel overwhelmed easily as she’s not that confident, so we are looking for a home with patience and understanding to help her build her confidence.  If she has been stressed with us in the past, she has grabbed a few staff members as a way of coping with her stress.  We see this less and less now that she feels settled with us.  We are currently muzzle training her to help her, as we can work with her while she wears her muzzle to expose her to new situations.

To apply for Ellie, please email  [email protected]  stating your current situation & working hours and reasons for wanting to adopt her.  Please note, we can only accept applications that match her needs.  Therefore, also consider if your work hours and situation will still be suitable on a long term basis.  Thank you.
