Please adopt River (Maltipoo)

Meet River, this very cute lad takes a little while to warm to new people, but will become your best friend once he feels comfortable with you.  He is just generally an anxious boy, but we have been working with him to help build his confidence which is getting much better.  He can be reactive to other dogs and people when out and about and we have taken him off site a few times, and he has coped well with that.

River has also been walking with other dogs here and has been doing well and hasn’t been reactive.  This will be ongoing.  He has bitten in a previous home which did stem from his anxieties.  Our vet has given him a clean bill of health.  With the right person, River has the makings of becoming a lovely little companion.  He is forming bonds here with staff members and can be a really affectionate boy.

For River we are looking for a calm patient home, in a more rural setting, with very few visitors, where he will get the walks that he enjoys so much, and continue to be socialised and make some new doggy friends along the way.  A place where he will be allowed to settle into his new home with a nice routine, and at his own pace, to help build a lasting strong bond, along with lashings of TLC.
