North Somerset Reproductions (NSR) Ltd is proud to have donated to Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary. NSR is a local precision engineering company manufacturing complex turned parts for end users including the automative, aerospace and hydraulic industries. Managing Director John Duerden joined the company in 1982 the same year Holly Hedge was founded as a charity. He was inspired by the dedication of the volunteers who moved into the Sanctuary throughout the Covid 19 lockdown period to ensure the animals were fed and looked after. Given that Holly Hedge’s operation costs are on average £12,500 a week and at the height of the pandemic its charity shops are unable to open and the public unable to visit the Sanctuary – NSR wanted to help in some small way and contribute towards the shortfall. John’s family have a 4-year-old parsons terrier Eric, who has transformed their family life. Eric is a real character feisty yet loving, loyal and totally adorable.
