Please adopt Suki.
Suki is a very pretty girl who arrived here due to finding her previous home stressful with the child in the home and another baby on the way. Since being with us we have discovered she does have a few behavioural issues to be aware of. These may arise in the home environment, so she will need to find a new home with people who have experience of undesirable behaviour in anxious cats. People who with time and patience can learn and understand her needs. Keeping all interactions calm is important, so as not to increase her anxieties. She will allow a gentle fuss to be made of her, but this will need to be kept short and brief and when she initiates interacation on her own terms. Reading her body language and facial expressions or watching when she’s feeling tense to save pushing past her boundaries and overwhelming her.
Suki is a long haired cat who will require her coat to be groomed on a more regular basis to help keep her coat in tip top condition. Although her fur is long she doesn’t have that type of fur that tangles quite easily. So if you can’t do every day it won’t matter too much.
Suki is looking for a quiet adult only home. She would benefit from having a room of her own as a safe calm space that she can take her self away to when feeling overwhelmed. Do you have the experience, patience and understanding to help sweet Suki? If so, then please get in touch with the rehoming team. Thank you so much.
If you are interested in Suki, a number of meets will be required so that a basic bond can be made with her. This will help with a smoother transition. Help is always there when needed via phone calls and emails.
To apply for Suki, please email [email protected] stating your current situation & working hours and reasons for wanting to adopt her. Please note, we can only accept applications that match her needs. Therefore, please also consider if your work hours and situation will still be suitable on a long term basis. Thank you.
