Please adopt Bertie (Frenchie)

Meet Bertie, who was sadly given up for rehoming as he had ongoing medical issues that his previous owner was struggling to manage, and the brave decision to get him the help he needed was made.  Since being with us, Bertie has had multiple investigations and we are pleased to say that he is now truly thriving, but he has been left with IBD which is carefully managed with diet and ongoing monitoring.  Holly Hedge will happily go into more detail and continue to provide support moving forward.

Despite all Bertie has been through he is still enjoying life.  He’s a really social dog who loves his walks (weather permitting), trips out to the pub or café and meeting new people. This little chap has so much love to give.  He loves cuddling up to his foster carers and making them laugh on a daily basis.  Frenchies truly are the clowns of the dog world!

Bertie is your typical Frenchie, full of that Frenchie personality. He has the sass and stubbornness of the breed which means that he will, ideally, need a breed experienced owner.  And, sadly because of all the invasive medical that he has been through, he does need someone who will listen to him and respect his routine.  If you feel you could be the one(s) for Bertie, please do get in touch with us.  Thank you.

To apply for Bertie, please email  info@hollyhedge.org.uk  stating your current situation & working hours and reasons for wanting to adopt him.  Please note, we can only accept applications that match his needs.  Therefore, please also consider if your work hours and situation will still be suitable on a long term basis.  Thank you.
