Please adopt Bud (Malamute)

Beautiful Bud has had a really rough start in life.  He’s been passed around without any structure or security until his present owner took him in and, after a rocky start, has worked wonders with him.  He came to her with food guarding issues after being neglected and taunted with food.  However, with a lot of work and recognising triggers, he has grown to understand that food is no longer a resource to guard.

Bud is a really sociable boy who loves to meet people and other dogs on his walks.  He always likes to get a bit of fuss from the postman and loves being the centre of attention at the vets!  Being a Malamute, Bud is typical of the breed, loves his exercise and will easily walk for 2+ hours a day, he also loves the water and will always find a puddle to splash in.  He is incredibly smart and is quick to pick up on training which, given his guarding issues, is a big plus.

We are looking for an experienced home in both food guarding and Malamutes and hope that we can find him the calm and secure home that he needs and deserves in which to thrive.
