Please adopt Lola (Staffy X)

Lovely Lola is a gorgeous young Staffy X who has been patiently waiting for her forever home for a few years now.  Lola is an anxious girl, having not had the best start in life and being passed around multiple homes early in her life. Despite this, she has come on leaps and bounds here at the sanctuary and her confidence has improved massively.  But she is going to need her new owners to be patient and take things slowly with her as she adapts to a home environment.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary Lola was incredibly nervous of new people. However, this is something we have been working hard on and she now has lots of friends.  She  warms to new people much more quickly now.  Once she knows you, Lola is a sweet little soul who is super affectionate and loves a gentle fuss; you’ll definitely have a best friend for life!

Lola is one of the smartest dogs we have ever met!  She absolutely loves learning new things and can do any puzzle you put in front of her! Lola also has great recall in our secure field and knows basic commands (such as sit and paw). This means that she has some great foundations for her new owners to build on.  With the right positive reinforcement training, Lola has so much potential and will thrive in her forever home.
Lola also loves her walks and can initially be strong on the lead.  But she soon settles down once the initial excitement about going for a walk subsides, and she can walk beautifully on the lead.

Lola loves exploring the woods and enjoying zoomies in our secure fields here at the sanctuary. Her happiness and zest for life is infectious!

Due to limited socialisation, Lola can struggle with interactions with other dogs.  So this is something that will need to be worked on in her new home.  Ideally, Lola will need to be walked in quieter, remote places initially where she can enjoy her walks without having to worry about other dogs.  We have recently started to muzzle train Lola so that we can start working on her social skills once she is comfortable wearing it.  This will also give her new owners peace of mind that she is safe when walking her out and about.

To apply for Lola, please email  [email protected]  stating your current situation & working hours and reasons for wanting to adopt her.  Please note, we can only accept applications that match her needs.  Therefore, please also consider if your work hours and situation will still be suitable on a long term basis.  Thank you.
