Please adopt Stripe (Staffy)

Meet the very handsome Stripe.  Stripe is a friendly boy who, once he knows you, is a lap dog and never wants to go too far from your side.

When he first arrived, he was quite anxious and overwhelmed, which resulted in him lead grabbing.  We have since muzzled trained him and he is comfortable wearing it.  For Stripe we are looking for a home on the quieter side.  A place that doesn’t have too many visitors, as although he will greet them, he can get quite overwhelmed.  He will need a home with someone/people who can continue to work on building his confidence with new places and work on his lead manners.

We have found Stripe to be able to walk past dogs from a distance, but he does react if they come too close to him.  So he is unable to live with another dog, and his social skills and confidence will need ongoing work.  He is a very loving boy, who does just love a cuddle and a nice walk.  He’s very smart and loves enrichment and puzzles and he knows commands and cute tricks.

Stripe did come in with sore skin, so we put him on a raw diet and this has cleared it up.  He isn’t currently  needing medication for this.
