Holly Hedge were originally hoping to open to the public again before Christmas 2022. Sadly due to
work being carried out on-site this was not possible due to scaffolding and several builders vehicles
needing to park up and come and go throughout the day. There is still extensive building work to be
done on our crumbling reception and office area, but we must wait for planning permission before
this commences. In the meantime, we are hoping to extend the car park to accommodate more
visitors and corporate groups to the Sanctuary.
As we strive to make life as comfortable and stress free as possible for our precious rescues, we will
also be completely re vamping our catteries, hopefully adding more as we are always in great
demand. Our intake and isolation kennels also need a complete overhaul so making positive changes
for their enrichment during their stay at Holly Hedge. Again, this will mean the Sanctuary will be a
building site for some considerable time, but for the greater good of all the animals in our care and
our hardworking staff.
There may be a period of time whilst we wait for building work to commence that we are able to
show people around in small groups once we receive application forms so please keep checking our
Website and Facebook pages for more information as and when we know more so watch this space.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We are continuing to rescue and rehome as
many animals as possible, and we appreciate your invaluable support during some very tough times.
Holly Hedge will always remain a safe haven for those who have no voice for as long as we are
needed because letting them down will never be an option.
Best wishes from all of us at Holly Hedge, 2 and 4 legged.
